per With a few exceptions the period of disability re- sulting from skin diseases is short as compared with some of the other industrial diseases ; the total number of days lost for the 648 claims totalling 8,254 days For the cases of dematitis the total number of lost was 7,673 for a total of days 561 claims making an average of 13.6 dhidhm im In skin diseases it should be noted commenting that upon during the past death Under the classification of industrial poisons 174 claims were filed with a total of 61,226 days lost In this group lead poisoning is as usual the most promi- nent cause of disability During the year there 138 claims filed for lead were poisoning with 6 fatalities or death claims Investigation of the files however shows that none of these death claims has allowed as as yet been compensable by the Commission Four have been definitely disallowed due to the fact that in each instance was found to be due to some con- dition other than lead poisoning and in the other the proof has not been cases completed sufficiently for the claims to be presented for decision Exclusive of the six death claims it is found that the average period of disability in the cases of lead poisoning filed was days per claim 35 phosphorous Other claims filed for industrial poisonings are as follows brass or zinc
