The Lead Industries Association's Health and Safety program is devoted to helping lead producers, lead users, and others in preventing exposures that could result in - - lead intoxication.

Our study has concentrated on three segments of the lead industry: the primary and secondary lead producers and lead-acid battery companies. \ Although our analyses will not be completed until mid-March, we have been able to develop some im portant tentative conclusions concerning the primary and secondary lead industries, which account for all U.S. lead production.

Cases of occupational lead poisoning far outnumber cases of childhood lead poisoning, although fatal lead poisoning in childhood certainly outnumbers fatal poisoning in the adult.
