ABD00005561 January 23, 2003 During a training session held on January 22, 2003 Charlie Holcomb repeatedly made derogatory and inflammatory statements concerning the way the chemical industry in general and the Georgia Gulf Aberdeen plant in particular administered health and safety programs Mr Holcomb repeatedly asserted that he believed that were it not for the OSHA mandated regulations there would be little or no effort to look out for the health and safety of the Aberdeen employees Mr Holcomb also made several comments that indicated he felt he had been willfully lied to about the potential health effects of vinyl chloride prior to the promulgation of the OSHA standards in 1974 His accusations concerning this included the vinyl industry and the managers and staff of the Aberdeen plant employed from the opening of the plant to the enactment of the OSHA standards Bill Caldwell
