ASBESTOS STUDY COMMITTEE -9- January 13, 1978 STATUS OF OSHA REGULATIONS ON ASBESTOS The Asbestos Information Association has advocated the work practices approach as a means of controlling asbestos dust for the construction industry standard.

It was stated that the Asbestos Information Association had circulated Information concerning the MIOSH suggestion that the friction materials business would come under the standard now.

The Secretary followed-up the day before the Committee -meeting with the Asbestos Information Association to find out if there has "been anything further as regards an asbestos compensation act.
