Subsequent to our meeting, several Asbestos Information Association Members formed an ad hoc Committee for friction material manufacturers for the express purpose of responding to the EPA's Office of Toxic Substances.

The Asbestos Information Association estimates the asbestos industry will spend $100 million in the next 3 years to meet the OSHA standard.

I also enclosed a copy of their letter to the Asbestos Information Association of November 18, 1977 asking for comments.
