Considering Mr.
unfortunate situation
at present, I have recorame
him that he make application
for hospitalization and medical care at the hands of the U. S.
Veterans Bureau. I believe that his only other alternative
is to apply for complete and permanent disability compensation.'
I have urged the former course with the somewhat forlorn hope
that the clearing up of his foci of infection may result in
an improvement in his condition. In accordance with the state
ment In my report, I believe tki3 is his only hope for partial
recovery*
If there Is anything which I can do toward furthering Mr. Haines* claim, I shall be pleased to do so.
