Dear Dr. Sayersj I shall be very glad to follow the request in your letter of October 8th and to report to you all cases of complaints connected with leaded gasoline which come to me. Moreover, I shall be glad to provide you with a record of cases which have come to our attention since our last detailed report on the subject. In this connection, it occurs to raa to ask you whether you have the complete file which I have supplied previously on these cases. In April of 1932 I provided Dr. Leake with a resume of all such cases which had come to my attention, and a little later I supplied him with complete records on all cases up to that time. If you have these on hand, I shall go through the remainder of them and supply you with the records. If you do not have them, it seems advisable for me to restudy our whole file and to supply you with the details* It will take a little time to do this, but I want you to have everything In your hands that will be in any way useful to you. In any case,, from now on I will sand you a complete record of what we receive and of what our action has been in the matter. Dear Dr. Kehoe: In reply to your letter of September 21st con cerning the cases of complaints of poisoning from the handling of tetraethyl lead or ethyl gasoline, I have discussed the matter with Dr. Graham Edgar and Dr. L. R. Thompson. It seems that for a time at least it might be advantageous to report all cases to the Public Health Service. It is believed that only by the above method can a picture be obtained of the number of complaints coming in that really have sat connection with lead in the gasoline. Cordially yours. ' R. R.
