General Atomic Company Investigated and recommended control measures for a solvent degreasing operation using chloroform as sol vent. B. GOCHEM Preparation for a presentation to the President of GOCHEM on industrial hygiene concerns and recommen dations of GOCHEM Asia operations. C. GORAM - Santa Fe Springs Assisted in the preparation of defense in a law suit filed by a refinery worker who claimed neuropathy in jury due to n-hexane exposure. D. GOCHEM and GORAM - Asia Operations Started planning for the keyperson training program for trainees from Korea and Taiwan. II. COMPLETED PROJECTS A. GOCHEM - International, CGPC Completed a comprehensive industrial hygiene survey report for China Gulf Plastics Corporation. Occupa tional exposures to vinyl chloride remained to be a severe health hazard. Exposures to PVC dust and dusts of lead, cadmium and chromium were also high. Impressive progress was made by CGPC in the areas of mercury vapor control and solvent vapor reduction. B. General Atomic Company Completed an environmental particulates survey for the General Atomic Company. Results showed compli ance with San Diego Air Pollution Control District Standard. RTC:vic R. T.
