While I do not attend the meetings typically, I receive ballots and minutes from meetings, etc. The most recent ballot for reformatting of the standard contains two provisions which could have substantial impact on acceptance of PVC and other plastic pipe and conduit products in fire resistive construction. These include provisions relating to testing specimen geometry and positive pressure application in test furnaces. I'm not sure whether your organization has representation on E-5.11, but should you desire IFT to participate in this activity and have funding available, contact me.
