Satisfactory information on dimethyl ether is lacking. Erroneous statements regarding this compound appear in Industrial

Haggard, Hoxious Gases, Beinhold Publishing Corp,, lev TorK (194 5 ) , page 1J9; and Dangerous Properties of Industrial Materials-, 5. Irving Sax,
Second Edition, Beinhold Publishing Carp., Hev Tori (l963); page Jh,
Repoms of studies of dimethyl ether by V. E. Br-ovn in 1924 and "cy B. M. Davidson in 1925, both published in Journal of Pharmacology end Experimental Therapeutics, indicate that this compound has anesthetic properties resembling those of diethyl ether. Beyond this, ve hncv nothing of its toxicity.
