policed at all times.
2.24 The subcontractor shall clean all splatter from equipment
and machinery and shall make a daily clean-up of the area
to remove wrappers, cartons, sacks and other large debris.

2.4 Any insulation on existing facilities which may become damaged by others during construction or tie-in work shall be repaired or replaced by the subcontractor on written orders from contractor. . Payment for this repair work shall be on a time and material basis as provided by Paragraph 2.6l. *

be cut on 45* angle to the nameplate edge and the insulation
properly sealed off.

4.1 Application of Piping Insulation

lines, arid in process lines when required for personnel
protection.
In cases where flanges and valves require insulation they

the same material as the adjacent pipe insulation neatly
cut to fit and secured in place with wire loops, using not
less than two loops per flange. These wire loops are to
be countersunk flush with the insulation surface. Die

4.14 A metal stop or support shall be provided at the bottoms
of all pipe insulation on vertical lines in sizes 4" and
over and where lengths involved exceed 10 feet. These

4.15 Steam traps and outlet piping from steam traps shall not be insulated except where required for personnel pro tection, Piping leading from drip legs to traps for superheated steam lines should be insulated. Piping from drip leg to trap for saturated steam lines should not be insulated.
