12 VOLT RESISTOR WIRING DIAGRAM
Electric Brakes are designed to operate from a 6 Volt System. Where a 12 Volt System is used this resistor reduces the current to the required amperage.

SERVICING BAKELITE COUPLING PLUG
3 Wire Cable Assembly (SeeFig. 23)
Remove outer cover of cable (1) 1)4" back from
end exposing rubber covered wires (2). Remove
insulation from wires (2) 3/16" back from end.
Slide cable (1) through plug handle (10). Place
dust shield (12) on cable (1). Assemble cable clamp
(3) as close to the end of cable as possible. Slip
all wires' (2) through'insulating washer (4). Slide
insulating sleeves (5) on wires (2). Solder ter
minals (6) on wires (2) and slide insulating sleeves
(5) down over soldered ends of terminals (6). Place
terminals (6) on bolts (7) in plug end (8) through
terminal clip (13). Refer to Figure 2,3
for
wire color code and markings on plug end (8). CONNECTIONS MUST BE ACCURATE. Tighten nuts (9) down on terminals (6). Bend terminals (6) up at a 90 angle after tightening nuts (9). If this is not done plug handle (10) will not slide down over wires. Slide plug handle (10) down to plug end (8). Turn plug handle (10) so bolt in cable clamp (3) will not rest on top of either of the two lugs inside of plug handle (10). Be sure the key on plug handle matches with key on plug end. Assemble bolts (11) through plug handle (TO) and plug end (8) to hold them to gether.
