Outlined in the following are the results of the air monitoring 33
conducted for asbestos along with a comparison of previous sampling sampling
results The results show that exposure concentration has remained
insignificant from both an occupational health and legal viewpoint
As always please retain the results for documentation purposes
The majority of samples are breathing zone samples which is most indicative of employee exposure It is cautioned that area samples because they are not mobile like the employee are indicative of
contamination sources only and not personal exposure
Overall housekeeping in the asbestos areas was noted to be good However the one problem area remains to be the bagging enclosure
area of the dust collector Accumulations of asbestos dust was still
noted and it was learned that outside contractor bag house cleaning
operators were not equipped with proper personal protective gear It is extremely important from liability aspect that the dust collector area is as free of asbestos accumulations as possible and that dust collector cleaning operators are equipped with proper
protective gear
