LABELING OF TALC PRODUCTS
This will confirm my remarks made at this
meeting
morning's
1 We are currently not labeling any of our talc
products which contain between 5 and 35 tremolite asbestos
2 It is my belief that we are in violation of
the Federal Occupational Safety and Health
Act as found in Title 2y Chapter XVII Part
1910 Occupational Safety and Health Standards
published in the Federal Register Volume 37
No. 110 June 10 1372. This section states
in brief that any material that contains
fiber must be so labeled
asbestos
We should also note that within the last two
W. R. Grace Company has been cited in the statmeonotfhsWasthhieng-
ton by OSHA for marketing vermiculite which contains
similar percentages of tremolite without
on the baga
proper labeling
