Then give two tablespoonfuls of epsom salt or milk of magnesia in water, and plenty of milk and water. Have vic tim lie down and keep quiet. Call a Physician immediately! On apples and pears, for the control of codling moth, leaf-rollers and cer tain other chewing insects, use 3 pounds in 100 gallons of water. Do not apply within 30 days of harvest. Remove excess residues at harvest by wash ing, wiping, brushing or other effective means. On peaches, cherries, plumes and prunes, for the control of curculio, use 2 pounds in 100 gallons of water. When using on stone fruits, always add from 8 to 10 pounds of chemically Hydrated Lime to each 100 gallons of dilute spray. Do not apply within 30 days of harvest on peaches, plums, prunes or on cherries for the fresh market (14 days on cherries intended for processing.) On potatoes, to control Colorado beetle and fleabeetles, use from 4 to 6 pounds either alone or with about 6 pounds of chemically Hydrated Lim e in 100 gallons of water. Apply 100 to ISO gallons per acre. For dusting tobacco to control hornworms, an application of about 5 pounds per acre is commonly used. Heavy and late season applications should be avoided to prevent objectionable residues. Suspenso Lead Arsenate may be used in treating lawns and golf greens for the control of Japanese, Asiatic and Oriental beetle larvae and earthworms in the soil. Th e usual method of application is to apply 10 lbs. per 1000 square feet of ground, working it into the soil in the preparation of the seed bed. Also, for the control of earthworms on established turf, it may be applied at the same rate as indicated above with thorough watering of the soil after the application is made. When desired, this material may be used in combination with DDT Dry W ettable formulations used for spraying. CAUTION: When using on plants having tender foliage, always add from 6 to 10 pounds of chemically Hydrated Lim e to each 100 gallons of dilute spray. When used alone on plants With hardy, or reasonably hardy foliage, the addition of chemically Hydrated Lime in this way is a good practice also.
