The problem of filling and handling these eana is of nose consequence inaeauch m this ishazardous operation* and it has always tmn tagwish to reduce the use of these cans to the lowest possible number. Vitfc this idea in Kind X brought- the natter to the at.tent ion of those persons in the Corporation who aro most concerned * and ve case to the conclusion that a rather careful survey should he made of something, like a doson points as. which a rather large number of cans are handled every year. One of those points waa the Detroit Laboratory. The safety division of the e&les department of the Corporation has been looking after this problem in a general way* and therefore Mr. Levis has been requested to examine into this problem. Ac* cording!y one of the representatives of the safety division will soon arrange for a visit to the Detroit Laboratory in order to confer with you gentlemen on this entire subduct.
