Sent to Mr. Trask for mailing to Kansas City Daily News-Press FOR RELEASE: THURSDAY Kansas City-Star-Times JULY 19, 19^2 St. Louis Globe-Democrat. St. Louis Post Dispatch Journal-Lee Summit, Mo. 50 YEARS ON "TEMPORARY" JOB Lake Lotawana News, Fairmount, Mo. ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, JULY 16, 1962 - William K. Grant, Sales Manager at Kansas City for the Metal Division, St. Louis Branch, National Lead Company, completed 50 years of service with the company on July 8. Bill's friends joined him last evening at the Missouri Athletic Club to celebrate his 50 years of service and his retirement. Bill Grant humorously remarks that he joined the company in 1912 at the St. Louis office as a "temporary" clerk. He insists the status was never officially altered. In 1919 he was transferred to the sales department at Kansas City where he has represented the company for 43 years. He was named district sales manager in 1950. Bill and his wife reside at 7117 Summit Street, Kansas City. In the simmers he may be found at Lake Lotawana where he has maintained a summer place since 1928. His hobbies are, quite naturally, boating and water skiing. When asked to comment on his 50 years of service he said that the only difference he notices is that his knees do not bend as freely when he puts on his water skis. N12723 Warren T.
