Tentatively, this book will contain chapters concerned with such subjects as phosphates, mercury, PCB's, fertilizers, chemical and biological pest control, endangered wildlife species as well as several other current concerns. In compiling this wide-ranging information, it is our in tention to draw upon the recognized authorities in each particular field. Because of the complex, technical nature of each subject, we are presented with the difficult and crucial task of choosing who our "experts" are to be. This is the reason I am seeking your help. Specifically, we would like your suggestion for an author (please include yourself) who can write 2-5,000 word article or someone who has already written such an article on poly chlorinated biphenyls. Included in the article should be a * discussion of the background and uses of PCB's, the properties and toxicology of PCB's, an outline of Monsanto's efforts to limit the uses of PCB's, and the problems of foreign made PCB. After we receive your recommendation we can inform that man of our plans for the book, unless of course you would prefer to handle it through your office. That is up to you.
