IAEC Annual Meeting Agenda 2017.pdf
Requested Tick Tock for Iowa Annual Meeting.docx
Good Morning Tate & Millan:
As we are just under 3 weeks out from the visit to Iowa, I was hoping that we could start nailing down some of the details and logistics regarding the Administrator's time here. I know you all have a million balls in the air while we only have one ...but I just wanted to make sure that I'm doing everything I can on my end to be helpful.
Attached is the most recent draft of our annual meeting run-of-show. You will see that we have the Administrator (Placeholder is still Mr. Gulliford) slated to speak to the General Session from 9:15 to 10 am on 12/1. If there are other meetings/events that Mr. Pruitt is considering having while in Des Moines that would impact his ability to speak that morning, please let us know as we can be flexible on the time he addresses the attendees. We have tried hard to get our Governor to attend the annual meeting but understand that she is taping a public television program called "Iowa Press" that morning which is complicating her schedule at this time.
Also, while at the IAEC Annual Meeting, we would appreciate the opportunity to have some brief interactions with Administrator Pruitt with smaller groups of our membership. For example, while we know you'd prefer media not be in the General Session, we would appreciate the opportunity to have a small press gaggle of sorts after the Administrator speaks to the membership. Our own magazine editor would also appreciate a few minutes for an article that will run in our monthly magazine, Living with Energy. It would also be appreciated if the Administrator could spend 10-15 minutes with our Statewide Board of Directors at some point during his time at the annual meeting.
Finally, we have nearly 500 people registered for the annual meeting. With staff and vendors there will easily be over 600 people in attendance on Friday to hear from Administrator Pruitt. We are grateful that he will join us that day.
Please let me know if/when there would be a good time to jump on a conference call to discuss details and logistics.
