Hint Boom 148 As yon lmow, when we planned to convert to bonded linings on the IC9528 brake line , we also decided to do the same on the IC9527 as well. Both of these were of similar construction and seemed like the thing to do* Preliminary quotes from Johns-* Manville on the IC9527 later showed that this would not be economically desirable because of the relatively low useage, therefore high price* The drawings were then reinstated to the riveted construction. However recent quotes from J-M plus considerable reaction from the commercial section of Renewal Parts forced us to re-appraise the situation. The price advantage of going to a complete bonded assembly from J-M for the IC9527 is now apparent without a doubt. It is also advantageous to our factory area. Cost improvement project 11-020 has-been turned in for the amount of $3,600 and the drawings are being Restored today to the bonded construction. 1 personally checked warehouse stock, and they have more than adequate supplies to carry them until J-M can construct their bonding fixtures, A topi shop-order has been Issued to J-M for this purpose, and they are proceeding. I hope this finally clears a confusing situation. * J, G, Copland Accessories Engineering IKDDSTRT CONTROL DEPARTMENT Ext. 375, Room 207 PP * PLAINTIFF'S If EXHIBIT LOV-JZ/fZZ PLAINTIFF'S EXHIBIT ^8^,00 GEWVOCT04-011753 WV-21522
