Subject: AstraZeneca-Daikin meeting / thank you
Dear
,
,
,
We would like to thank you very much for taking the time to meet with AstraZeneca and Daikin to discuss the need for an exemption for the use of PFOB in pharmaceuticals under the REACH Restriction on PFOA. Thank you very much also for suggesting to take this issue forward within the REACH Committee. On our side, and in the perspective of the discussion in the REACH Committee, we will meet again the Swedish Environment Ministry on 2 February and the French Environment Ministry on 7 February. We may contact a few other member states, in particular those which are also part of the supply chain, among which the UK, Spain, Germany (which also submitted the Annex XV dossier for the PFOA restriction). We will send you the final reports, as well as the slides, as soon as possible and look forward to hearing more of your thoughts on whether the issue could be addressed at the February session of the REACH Committee and on the procedure that would be followed.
Kind regards,
