Thompson Summary: A shutdown for the PVC plant was tentatively scheduled for the week beginning Monday, September 11, 1978. Tie-ins to process equipment for all remaining EPA project items will be made dur ing the plant shutdown. Start-up of the individual items will begin upon completion of construction for each item. Work to be Completed Prior to Shutdown: Item Title Description PVC-9 PVC Waste Water Stripper PVC-13 Post Vacuum Vent Controls PVC-4 & VCI Recovery System Rev. PVC-14 PVC-15 Degasser Stream O2 Analyzer -Buss tie-ins only will remain to be com pleted on 9/18/78. -No work to be completed prior to shutdown. Tie-ins will consist of pressure taps for D.P. Cells. -All piping, instrumentation, and electrical is to be installed prior to the shutdown or ready to be installed (as required) during the shutdown. -(10) sample connections are to be made to process piping. No preparatory work requir d before shutdown. Tie-Ins to be made as required during the shut down. Engineering (Instrument Design) is to com plete instrument drawing no later than 9/6/78 so that modifications to the incinera tor controls can be studied by construction prior to the shutdown. -Construction to fabricate spool pieces to make up the face-to-face dimension difference between existing valves and the new valves. -Engineering is to provide a nozzle installa tion detail and procedure for D148B. Conclusion: The status of all preparatory work required for the plant shutdown will be reviewed closely by Engineering during the weekly construction meeting to be held on September 13, 1978.
