EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING New York, N. Y. November 22, 1932. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Lead Industries Association was held at the Down Town Association, New York City, on Tuesday, November 22nd, at 12:30 P. M. Present: Clinton H. Crane, Chairman W. C. Beschorman H. M. Brush F. M. Carter I. H. Cornell R. M. Roosevelt F. Y. Robertson F. E. Wormser, Secretary An invitation to exhibit at the Exposition of the American Farm Bureau Federation Meeting in Chicago, on December 5, 6 and 7, 1932, was presented to the Com mittee but as the feeling seemed to be that the expendi ture involved in participation was not warranted at this time, It was regularly moved and seconded that the Lead Industries Association respectfully decline the invi tation of the American Farm Bureau Federation `to participate in its forthcoming Exposition in Chicago, with thankB. Motion carried. L,1!393 The advisability of revising the basis upon which revenue for the support of the Association was ob tained was next considered, the suggestion being made that assessments on foreign tonnages mined, refined, smelted and manufactured be discontinued. WHEREUPON it was regularly moved and seconded that a recommendation be made to the Board of Directors at its next meeting, changing the basis of assessments to eliminate all foreign tonnages. Motion carried. A report to the Executive Committee, embracing a comparison of expenditures for the first ten months of 1532, together with an estimate for the full year, was presented to the Committee as an aid in formulating the budget for 1533. After giving the subject consideration and in recognition of the need for closer contact with municipalities in the interests of lead in plumbing codes and the probable need of adding someone to the Lead Indus tries Association staff thoroughly familiar with plumbing and plumbing problems, It was regularly moved and seconded that the budget be based upon the same total as the' 1932 budget, namely, $40,000, as report submitted below.
