This packing combines a highly abrasion-resistant synthetic compound with unique Utex design features to give extended service with minimum wear. The lantern rings for Style 808 Packing Assemblies are molded from high strength synthetic elastomers which resist yielding under gland load yet reduce galling, corrosion, and wear problems often associated with metal trim. Utex Style 808 is furnished in complete sets including the lantern ring where applicable. Utex Style 261 UTEX STYLE 261 8t 260 Utex Style 261 is a combination packing set for centrifugal applications. Seal rings of TFE impreg nated asbestos are headed by a synthetic rubber ring to seal out abrasives. This combination reduces shaft and packing wear caused by accumulation of abrasive particles in the soft seal rings and makes Style 261 an excellent choice for pumps handling drilling fluids and other slurries. Utex Style 261 is furnished in complete sets with the same durable lantern ring used in Utex Style 808 pump packing. When lantern rings are not required, order Utex Style 260.
