BOX 199a Pittsburgh, April IS, 1942 Arcoliner Boiler Q-258 TO THE WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTOR: Enclosed is literature illustrating and describing the Arcoliner Boiler - for coal or oil. Also enclosed is schedule of Trade Prices. The Arcoliner Boiler was developed to meet an increasing demand for a small toiler to burn all fuels with a maximum of efficiency and economy. A small supply of jackets was produced prior to the limitation order discontinuing the production of metal jackets after March 16, 1942. The Arcoliner may be ordered with or without jacket. Orders for the Jacketed Boiler, or those with Biltin Taco Heater will be subject to stocks on hand. Literature enclosed features the general characteristics of this new boiler. In addition, we wish to emphasize: 1. The 15" width and the ample height of the firebox. This means large fuel capacity and long firing periods. 2. The hot gases leave the combustion chamber at the rear of the boiler and enter the two outside flues. The gases then proceed forward to .the front section, where they turn, meet and travel to the rear of the boiler through the center flue, thus pro viding a two-pass boiler. 3. In. small steam boilers there is a tendency to prime. To over come this, we have provided free and easy passage to the outlet b7 locating the large connecting top nipple at the side of the section. 4. The boiler sections extend to the floor which provide a maxi mum of water-backed surface for increased efficiency. 5. The boiler sections will be shipped assembled which means a .awing in handling and installing. 6. The grates for the Arcoliner Boiler have been designed so that outside shaking mechanism is eliminated, thus adding to the appearance of the boiler. 7. Nos. 153, 154 and 155 oil boilers will be fired with the "M" Arcoflame Burner, Pedestal type. The No. 156 Oil Boiler will be fired with the "C-l" Arcoflame Burner, Pedestal type. Both Burners will have the proper leg height, draft adjustor and sleeve, and will be furnished in the Canyon Red color. Precast Combustion Chambers for the dry base boiler will not be avail able immediately, but we will furnish instructions with the boiler, showing how to build a brick Combustion Chamber. 20415 Q--253 -2- April 15, 1942 8. Converting the coal fired boiler to oil and vice versa is a simple matter. Grates can be removed without troublej there are no trunnion pockets extending from the sides of the combustion chamber, as the grates rest in pockets in the back section and in a plate in the front section.
