STRESS CORROSION It wee agreed that ASTM C-16 Subcommittee T-VTII ehould ask review of existing methods of ceet for significance of details. If the Committee can't agree on a method of teat, MIMA Is to request a letter ballot of T-VIII on the proposed method of test previously agreed upon by the I & 1 Committee IK*A.HMBWfc After a detailed discuasion by the Committee it vaa agreed by a vote (7-1) that only ASTM apecifieation data be given to IDCNA* for the following reasons: 1. A significant number of teat values la not available to completely establish other criteria. 2 2. The ocher categories were not considi red pertinenc. 3. If any further information is given, che poasibiliey exists chat certification eo these requirements t ill have to be made by the manufacturers. If was further believed chat no addition 1 characteristics (physical, thermal, chemical, etc.) should be given eo IOCMA. NEXT MEETING DATE The Committee will meet in San Francisco Calif.
