SHAFT--We are recommending that shafts be cut to length. No difficulty will be encountered if the shaft (never the motor) is securely tightened in a vise. Under no conditions, secure the motor in a vise as it will be damaged beyond repair. LEADS--In some instances two speed motors are recommended to replace single speed motors. Two speed motors have three leads. Single speed motors have two leads. Cut off and insulate the unused. In most cases the leads on the replacement motor will not be the same length as on the original motor or the terminals will not be the same. To use the replacement motor, cut off the terminals on the replacement motor, strip in sulation about 1/2 inch. Use the leads from the old motor. Be sure to solder and insulate them properly. STUDS--Some of the replacement motors have the mounting studs in the reverse position from the original motor. Reverse one stud at a time and no difficulty will be encountered. SLEEVES--Some motors with 1/4 inch shafts are catalogued to use an adapter sleeve. This is necessary to increase shaft to 5/16 inch diameter. -- COLOR CODE AND HOOK UP -- For Motors Nos.-3-7500, 3-7501, 3-7502 CLOCKWISE ROTATION Tape together yellow and red leads. Green wire is hot lead, black wire is ground. COUNTERCLOCKWISE ROTATION Tape together green and red leads. Yellow wire is hot lead, black wire is ground.
