Meyer - Portland Mr. W. D. Brooks - Carrolltc Mr. K. W. Brown - Acme Mr. L. E. Winter - Acme Mr. G. Gerschesfske - Kansas City On Tuesday, March 6, I met with Gene Gerschefske in Kansas City in order to field test the asbestos free All Purpose. The mud was used by M & F Drywall. All work was dono with hand tools. The applicators began by using the mud at a low viscosity. They experienced no problems with the application and stated that the mud was easy working. However, concern with possible shrink age caused them to try the mud at a much heavier consistency. At the heavier consistency, the applicators felt that the mud had too much drag. The applicators then mixed additional mud at a viscosity some where between the first two. When this was applied, no problems occurred. Some of the mud was nixed with a drill and some was mixed by hand. In both instances, it was easy to mix. Due to extremely wet and humid weather conditions, plus a lack of heat in the building, it will be several deys before the mud is dry and the amount of shrinkage assessed. The job will be finished with this nuc at a conslsrrtncy that can be worked easily. A follow-up report will be provided jy Gene Gerschefske. I would like to thank Gene for arranging this trial. .
