MEMORANDUM March 38, 1939. This morning I arranged with Dr. Mb for a temporary grant for the year 1939-1930 only, (without any implications as to the future) of $1500 for a salary for a man to work on benzol absorption and its effects. It was understood that Dr. Mb might get some further money from the Lead Fund people, or other sources, in which case this grant would in part or in whole become unnecessary. It was necessary to have the moeny available now in order to secure the particular man that seems desirable. David L. Edsall, M.D,,, Dean This money.is to be taken from the unused Walcott Fund of the School of Public Health and to appear in the Treasurer's report under the headihg-SPECIAL ACTIVITIES. : ,:J0 ;
