V8A-3310 Clear 31 Packaging
Dear Mr. Burnettt
It is proposed that this foraulatlon Is to be need as .010* thick clear rigid sheets as a foraed package to contain aedlelnal pills and/or capsules In a wide variety of aedlelnal agents weed for either buaaas or aalnals.
This foraulatlon would not be acceptable for food paekaglng use or for liquid or paste fora aedloatloas. It would seea safe, however, for use In paekaglng of Medications In dry fora suoh as dry tablets or capsules. The weight of VSA-3310 Clear 31 In sueh a package would be of alnor quantity and the only Ingredient of laaedlate concern would be the 20 stabiliser. This stsblllser would not he extracted unless swlsture or oils were present.
Ve auet eaphaelse that thle opinion la based upon this particular application and usage. For jour Inforaatlon. I na enclosing a saspls of a drug eapsuls which X think Is so packaged.

We have received a request to comment on the suitability of our .010" thick clear planished rigid sheets as a formed package to contain medi cinal pills.
This particular package, as described to the writer, would be a formed unit package to hold pills (for animals) and antibiotics (for humans), the latter being in capsule form. The formulation for our V5A-331Q Clear 31 is as follows:
VTNW-1
VYHH-3
D-15 Salol Steric acid 1% 811 Dispersion
87.35 2
10.00 %
2.00 %
.1*0 2
.1752 .0752
100.0002
It is recognized that limited information is supplied here regarding the products to be packaged. Possibly more can be developed, but this appli cation was developed through one of our resellers who is desirous of ob taining the rigid sheet business and we have not had direct contact with the ultimate user of the package, which is Wyeth Drug Company. If it is possible for you to comment on this application regarding the suitability of the above formulation for this end use, it would be appreciated.
