CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION ON ABERDEEN EFFORTS
r
VISTA
Below is a proposed letter for the Aberdeen customers.
Vista is committed to total quality in our products
services, and operations. This commitment relates not only
to product quality but also to our ability to continue to
manufacture products we provide to you In an environmentally
sound and stable matter.
In these times, environmental
programs include much more than emission controls, emergency
planning and regulatory compliance. Communicating with the
surrounding community is now recognized as an integral part
of a sound environmental program. Community efforts attempt
to provide a better understanding of what is going on at the
plant and to build acceptance and understanding of the
issues, and problems if they occur, of operating a chemical
plant.
The attached article describes the successful efforts of our Aberdeen production facility communicating with the surrounding community, as well as our own employees. This article appeared in Occupational Hazards, a national safety and health publication. We wanted to share this with you as further evidence of our commitment to total quality management,
I recommend this letter, be sent with a reprint of the article. Reprints are available from the publication for $295 with a 500 minimum order. The reprints would look a lot better than Xerox copies.
The person signing the letter could be from Houston or could be the individual TSR.
The draft above has been reviewed by PR, Any modifications you feel would be helpful are certainly welcome.

TSCA INVENTORY PARAFFIN AND ALKYLATE DESCRIPTIONS
VISTA
We have received CAS numbers for the recently corrected alkylate descriptions. The attached table lists the inventory descriptions, current applicable commercial names, and new CAS numbers.
In the near future, we will be doing the following to complete the process.
1. Revise MSDS's, technical data sheets, and other technical literature where CAS numbers or TSCA information appears.
2. Communicate with our customers regarding these changes.
3. Consider inventory corrections for derivative products (i.e. 597, C-550) to achieve carbon range and process description consistency.
