Dear Bob:
While in Kingston, Jamaica the other lay, one of the sanitary inspectors of the Ministry of Health, asked my opinion on the practices utilized in the oil refinery recently placed in operation in that city.
The practice is soaking the work clothes of the men who work in tetraethyl lead in kerosene before sending them to the laundry. The question raised was whether or not the laundry workers would be exposed to lead hazard.
I shall appreciate very much receiving your opinion on this matter, which you can send to me here in Washington.
Kindest personal regards.
Sincerely yours,
John J. Bloomfield
