The ratings received apply to both 1--%,f and 3n deep decking and will.be pub lished by both ULI Design #229-3hour(beam 4hr) and ULC Design C153-3hour(beam 4hr). * The deck received a 3 hour rating including the trench header duct while the beam received a 4 hour rating based on the load method and 3 hours when based on the new timetemperature-ass ambly method which starts in January of 1971. We strongly suggest (in areas not already using timetemperature criteria) that all owners, builders and architects be advised that after the first of the year, the new time- temperature standards will be used by the Insurance Rating Bureaus. This, means that buildings now under construction will be severely penalized for the life/.of the building by not having sufficient thicknesses of fireproofing on ' the beams when measured by these new standards.
