Please advise the procedures that are in effect at each of your plant locations with respect to the annual medical examinations for employees exposed to asbestos fiber. Included in the information we require is the description of the examining service or physician used, the7 extent of the examination, and whether employees are'notified of the results of this examination. Are these conducted separately for flooring and liquid products personnel or are the personnel from both operations tested at the same time. When were the first examinations conducted under the requirements OSHA asbestos standard. In the event the examination uncovers a medical or physical condition unrelated to work, what procedures have you considered for notification to the employee and for referral to his own physician.
/
With respect to the medical reports, do the plants receive
complete medical reports including x-rays. How are these
filed and retained for future references.
/
.The information we are seeking/pertains to the actual
practices which have been followed in each of the plants
thus far. This information will be helpful to us in
formulating a uniform company-wide practice to be observed
in the future.
