As we had discussed previously, in the process of updating the study, we have come across several problems in the original data, which we did not anticipate. These included inconsistent or incorrect information obtained in the original study. Some were coding or data-entry errors. Correcting these errors involved in contacting the appropriate individuals at the participating companies to verify the new information, and subsequently making changes in the data. These activities were not anticipated and not budgeted for in our fixed fee contract.
