Schumacher will send the committee the final draft Site Emergency Response Planning document to review. o R. Schumacher will send the committee a letter on the FY 86/87 outside services budget. ** a*** 1. B. Karrh, chairman, convened the meeting at 9:30 a.m. 2. The committee approved the minutes of the September 18 meeting without change. 3 . Task Group Reports Task group sponsors reported on significant activities of the task group, and the committee acted upon the following: o B. Karrh will provide CMA staff a copy of the Conservation Foundation's Paper, "Coping with Toxic Substances", to send to the committee and Hazard Assessment Task Group. The task group will review it and recom mend any CMA action on it to the committee. o The Exposure Assessment Task Group will prepare a project proposal on exposure methodologies for the committee to consider at its next meet ing. The task group will describe how the proposed project relates to current proposed exposure assessment projects that other CMA groups are working on. o The Risk Assessment Task Group will review the proposed RCRA allowable daily intake standards and report on the status of CMA comments at the next committee meeting. CMA 060761 Health and Safety Committee Minutes of Meeting October 16, 1985 Page 3 o The Product Management Task Group will consider AIHC's paper on interim controls at its next meeting, and determine whether any action is appropriate. o The Risk Management Seminar has been postponed until December 9-10. G. Baker will send a memo to the Health and Safety and Environmental Management Committees and Special Programs asking for nominees to attend the seminar. o Committee members agreed to recommend to G. Rodenhausen candidates to chair the Product Management Task Group. o The CAER Task Group will prepare a letter to CMA Executive Contacts encouraging continued company support of the CAER program. o The committee agreed to merge the Data Development Task Group and Health Programs Task Group, and call the single task group the Health Programs Task Group. E. Rodriguez and C. Umland will cosponsor it, and E. Rodriguez will chair the task group. Committee members will identify candidates to participate on the task group. o The Health Programs Task Group will follow-up on Issues raised at Representative Gaydos* hearings on occupational disease compensation. o The Safety Programs Task Group has prepared a final draft of a site emergency response planning document, which R. Schumacher will send to committee members for review.' 4. TSCA Section 4(f) Interim Guidance Document The committee approved the draft comments on EPA's interim guidance document for TSCA Section 4(f). G. Baker will forward the comments to EPA after changing the comments to reflect a more positive tone. 5. FY 86/87 Committee Project Budget R. Schumacher will send members a letter outlining the budget process for the FY 86/87 outside services budget, and request project proposals for the committee. 6.
