Dear I.'r. Laist:
estimated Cash Requirements
V.e ars attaching the Estimated Cash Requirements for the Fast Gliicago plant for the sir. months' period ending August 31st, 1946. A total decrease of >;317,500 in cash requirements is shown and accounted for as follows:
lead Refinery
-
Zinc Cr.ide Department -
7/hite lead Department -
Total -
Decrease Increase Increase Decrease
|925,030 93,930 13.600
7817,500
The decrease in the Lead Refining Department's cash requirements is due to the cutting off of our East Helena bullion receipts, resulting from the strike of the employees of the American Smelting and Refining Company.
V.'ith the increase in sales of zinc oxide, we have stepped up our production in the Zinc Oxide Department. The increase in cash requirements is due to the need of purchasing more scrap for this greater tonnage.
Vie hope this information will be helpful in your study of the attached statements.
