Mason-Wilm From: Vi -- CONSTRUCTION - BEAUMONT Subject: APPLICATION OF LIMPET INSULATION As you might know, Beaumont Construction was the first site to use Limpet insulation. We, therefore, are quite concerned about the results of the testing program at Chambers Works Construction. Realizing that Limpet is by no means the only source of asbestos dust, we are adhering to the following practices: 1. Limpet spraying is being performed in an isolated area away from shops and locations where the dust might be pulled into air conditioning systems, etc. 2. The insulators engaged in Limpet spraying are required to wear fresh air supplied respiratory protection. We have also ordered the MSA cartridge type respirator and ultra-high filter' type H, micron density cartridges. \ 3. Shop men and craftsmen are required to wear respirators while cutting materials containing asbestos Indoors. This applies to handsaw as well as power driven saw operations. - ,, 4. A vacuum cleaner has been ordered for shop cleaning. The insulation shop will be kept clean and free of accumulations of dust. . We have 'not discussed the possibility of having insulators X-rayed and will not consider doing so unless advised to the contrary.
