If n ot , p l e a se order mem at onc e. These bags and saws were developed b e c a u s e one should not breath a s b e s t o s d u st . The following precautionary ste ps must be followed immediately without any exceptions . 1. The cutting of M a r i n i t e , Unarco Board, M a r in e Veneer or other asbestos panels must be done only with skill saws equipped with dust bags in working order and an enclosed, air tight housing around the half of the skill saw blade that sucks above the panel while cutting. Wherever possible, a . suction blower should be placed under the s u r f a c e on which a person is cutting with the dust c o l l e c t e d in a bag-. Dust bags and s ki l l sa w modifications must be c h e c k e d at l e a s t monthly for proper functioning. . 2 . All empl oy ees c ut ting M a r i n i t e , Unarc o Board, Mar in e Veneer or other a s b e s t o s pa nels must wear r es p i r a t o r y protecti on masks that are approved by the U. S. Bureau of M in es, for protection against microscopic dust. Other employees in the area must not work too close to the cutting operation. 3. The cutting operation must be isolated to the greatest extent possib le from other people working on the ship . 4 . The object of th ese precautionary measures is to limit the dust at breathing height to an amount that you can hardly s e e . If for some reason these precautionary measures do not accomplish the o b je c tiv e , stop the operation until you s olv e the problem. If you c a n no t s o l v e the problem, c a l l me or M r .
