Total Hours in Plant: 3 Hours Were Citations issued immediately: No. Did the Inspector indicate that Citations would be issued? The Inspector stated that the results of hiB air sampling would be reviewed. In the event that the exposure limits for chromic acid mist were approached or exceeded, further sampling would be conducted to dete^pine if the plant is in violation of State Standards. Vere Instruments used to monitor the environment? Two samples vere taken for chromic acid mist. The following Instruments vere used: Sample #1: Mine Safety Appliance (MSA) personal sampling pump #6751*3 vlth built-in rotameter at 1*7 liters/minute. Vinyl Metric el Filter #4285 Time: 9:45 A.M. to 11:45 A.M., 2 hours Operator ' Sample #2: MSA Pump #67539 vlth bullt-ln rotameter at 1*7 liters/minute. Vinyl Metricel Filter #4266 Time: 9:90 A.M. to 11:09 A.M., 1 hour, 19 minutes Set-up In addition, the Inspector sampled for Carbon Monoxide since the employe complalntant alleged that the air contaminent6 caused his headaches.
