Freeman tritenci Inspection - Materials Handling MH Foremen TO :G. W. Bostick The Materials Handling area received the 3rd Quarter Safety & Housekeeping Inspection on August 14 , 1984. I take exception to the "Good" rating that was given and feel that our facilities deserve a better rating. To receive this type of rating is counterproductive to our personnel in view of the condition of the area. In addition, most of the items listed were not mentioned to our representatives who accompanied the inspection team and we were left with the impression that our area was in very good condition. These types of results make it very diffi cult to motivate our personnel to take pride in the area and work in keeping the area neat and safe. The following is the reply to listed defects: Safety 1. Recommend installation of signs to indicate the correct exit for seamen at Dock #1 - possible use of international "No Pedestrian" sign.
