Tentative abbreviated work schedule for substance reviews: 1 Decem ber 2005 - 31 Decer Proposals for NEW POPs In accordance with article 14.6 of the Protocol on POPs Parties to the Protocol can propose ne substances to be added to annex I, II or III. A Party proposing a new su bstance should provic Executive Body with inform ation about the substance as specified in E xecu tive Body decision Parties discuss the proposals at a session of the Executive Body provided the proposals have circulated ninety days in advance. Substances proposed at the tw enty-third session of the Executive Body The European Com m ission has subm itted a proposal for am endm ent to the Protocol with rega follow ing five substances: H exach lo rob u ta diene. octa B D E. pe n ta ch lo ro b enzene. Po lvchlo rinatt naphthalenes. SCCPs The Netherlands has re-subm itted the dossier on dicofol for technical review. The W orking Group on Strategies and Review suggested that, pending decision by the Execut at its tw enty-third session, during the 90-day period between the subm ission of dossiers and session of the Executive Body, the dossiers be available on the Convention's website for comr subm ission o f additional inform ation by all interested persons or groups.
