ANTI-WHEEL LOCK PICKUP AND VALVE/CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY Service Subassemblies and Components (Eaton. Goodrich and Bendix)
PURPOSE To provide service personnel with part numbers of the component parts used in subject assemblies.
RECOMMENDATION Whenever possible, replace failed components instead of the complete assembly when servicing anti-wheel lock valve/controller assemblies and wheel speed pickups. This practice will lower cost of replacement parts and gen erally reduce labor time.
INFORMATION Anti-wheel lock controller assemblies consist of three major components or subassemblies which can easily be re placed in the field. They are the valve, controller and solenoid(s). The following parts list shows part number of the valve/controller
assemblies currently in use and their components.

SERVICE NOTE
Eaton service controllers 2719-630083 and 2719-630069 are furnished without nuts on any of the terminals. Terminal nuts must be transferred from the old to the new controller, including one for the ground strap. The strap is furnished with the controller and installed on the terminal but is not secured with a nut. Some service people have overlooked need for a nut at this location (see Figure 3 ), resulting in an intermittent ground and erratic performance of the con troller.

Wheel speed pickup assemblies consist of the pickup, pickup gage blocks and mounting bracket. Gage blocks experience some wear during the initial operating period following a clearance adjustment. They must be re placed when the wear indicator grooves are no longer visible. The fol lowing parts list shows part numbers for the gage block service kit and the pickup. Bracket part numbers are not shown because they vary de pending on the axle used. Consult chassis record for correct bracket part number.

Chassis built prior to January 1976 require an adapter harness when a current production type controller is installed. This is due to the larger power warning lead connector used. See Figure 7.
