The Hewlett-Packard 5830 A which was purchased last summer for the-purpose of analyzing VCM in vinyl resins produced at Texas City does not have this optional feature. Discussions with Hewlett-Packard indicate that this back-flushing feature can be easily and rapidly in stalled on the HP 5830 A at an approximate cost of $600-700. It would be desirable to have this feature at the earliest time possible so that routine analysis of solvent vinyl resins can be made. When we talked about sampling this car you said you would like to have Gollob Analytical scheduled in to take samples in your filling and storage areas at the same time to save the $130.00 service fee. Hopefully your production schedule will match the free time (48 hours) so we don't incur excess demurrage on this car.
