Harza has been engaged by the Israeli Government to provide engineering services in a number of areas including water supply. Concerns about the safety of A/C water pipe have been raised because it is known that the Government uses the product extensively. Brown wanted current information on product safety. Staff explained in detail the development of the asbestos in drinking water controversy and its current status, underlining the fact that there are no federal or World Health Organization regulations for asbestos in drinking water or restrictions on the use of A/C water pipe.
