Dear Mr. Laist: In connection with our general checkup of patents periodically issued. Patent No. 2,014,148, issued September 10th, 1935, was called to my atten tion. This is such a direct infringement of the Sperry Patent, that it is hard for me to believe that the Patent Office could issue it. Since this man Sievert has communicated with us a number of times and we have given him quite a little information in connection with our product and the white lead process, it appears that he'has used this information to produce lead borate and get a patent. This is one of the things that results from our not protecting ourselves on the various ramifications of the Sperry method.
