R. Torkelson, has called a meeting of the above-named Panel organizations on Wednesday, June 14, 1978, Health Science Center, VIP Lounge, University of Louisville, beginning at 8:30 a.m. A detailed agenda will be mailed to you as soon as the directors of the component research projects develop an overall presentation plan acceptable to Dr. Tamburro. Summaries will be presented on what has been accomplished in the following research areas: A. Immunological Systems for the Detection of Vinyl Chloride and Other Chemical Injury B. Biochemical Enzymatic Systems for the Detection of Vinyl Chloride and Other Chemical Injury as a Potential Means of Detection of Cancer in Humans- C. Tissue and Urinary Glycosaminoglycan Changes Related to Vinyl Chloride Injury: Use and Early Detection and Diagnosis ' D. Electron Microscopic Evaluation of Liver Injury from Chemical Workers OLI 2973 -2- E. Multivariant Analysis of Biological EndProducts in vinyl Chloride Metabolite Synthesis F. Assays for Identification of the Carcino genic Potential of Industrial Chemicals G. Tissue Antigenic Systems for Detection of Chemical-Induced Carcinogenesis A review of future research goals also will be presented together with analyses of the priorities which, in the estima tion of the School of Medicine's research directors, should be assigned to current component studies as well as new concepts to be proposed. Those Panel members whose respective companies are not represented on the Vinyl Chloride Medical Subcommittee might wish to invite their corporate medical director to the subject presentation.
