DIRECTORY OF TECHNICAL INFO ON PVC PIPE AVAILABLE
WAYNE, New Jersey, May 31, 1990 -- A listing of technical information
covering everything from specifications for PVC pipe used in highway
drainage systems to thawing procedures for water mains is available from
PRO, the Pipe Resource Organization of the Vinyl Institute.
The new publication, which lists the titles of nearly 70 research
reports and technical papers, will add to the clearinghouse of materials
compiled by PRO on the advantages of using PVC (polyvinyl chloride) pipe
over other types of piping materials.
Earlier this year, PRO released "PVC Pipe for All the Right Reasons," an
information package about the use of PVC in water and sewer pipe and related
applications. PRO said at the time it would periodically update and expand
the package.
The new directory is the first such addition. It contains the titles
and numerical designations of a variety of documents available from the
American Society for Testing and Materials, the American Water Works
Association, Uni-Bell PVC Pipe Association, the Plastics Pipe Institute, the
Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association and the Vinyl Institute.
