Bell To: Location: 5 West Subject: CMA/VCM IBT-Negotiated Settlement As chairman of the CMA/VCM Audit Task Group, a member of the CMA/VCM Technical Panel and Research Coordinators, we have been able to assist CMA General Coun sel to negotiate a settlement for the study conducted by IBT. Mr. Fred Current, President of IBT and Counsel, has made a third offer (first two rejected) of $110,000. The total cost of the project research at IBT, In cluding Dr. W. Busey's (EPL) audit report on the histopathology and Or. Bob West's (West Associates) for the antemortem audit report comes to $194,000. The administrative cost over the six-year period for CMA is not included in this figure. I feel it should not be included since these costs would have occurred regardless of the research results.
