We have also reviewed the summaries of performance for the asbestos filters over the last four years. This review indicates that there has been a gradual deterioration in the accuracy of our results. This appears to be due to deterioration in visual acuity due to aging. For these reasons, we have elected to discontinue our use of this person as our asbestos counter. Since our Haskell Laboratory (presently accredited for organic solvents) has agreed to seek certification in asbestos counting, the Chambers Works Environ mental Health Laboratory has elected not to Crain a replacement and requests that the Laboratory be removed from che asbestos PAT Program and the related laboratory accreditation for asbestos counting. However, we do wish to main tain our accreditation as an industrial hygiene laboratory and to continue our participation in the PAT Program for inorganic lead and organic solvents.
